The development and preliminary evaluation of a Medication Review Tool for those taking antipsychotic medication.

Project summary: The project involves qualitative interviews with patients with psychosis to determine their experience of taking medication and the information they are given about it. A Medication Review Tool will then be developed and a small pilot trial will be conducted to obtain some preliminary data on the effects of the tool on patient involvement in decisions about medication, patient satisfaction, symptomatology, adherence, dose of medication and side effects.

Support given by RDS London: Advice on the design of the project, particularly the scope of the instrument and the design of the pilot trial was provided during meetings with RDS London.
